Farmspitality

Your stay starts in the soil

A new generation of farms, estates, and landscapes is redefining hospitality. These places are not hotels with gardens, nor resorts with decorative agriculture.

They are working farms that open their doors to guests, not as customers, but as temporary participants in a living system.

Farmspitality Manifesto

THE FARMSPITALITY MANIFESTO

The farm comes first.

All decisions begin with soil, water, biodiversity, and food production.
Hospitality adapts to the agricultural system, never the other way around.

Regeneration is a condition, not an ambition

The system must demonstrably:

  • build soil

  • increase biodiversity

  • retain and cycle water

  • reduce fossil-based inputs

Year after year. Measurably.

The guest is a guest of the land

The ecosystem, not the customer, is central.
Comfort must never exceed the carrying capacity of the land.

Production before presentation

What grows is first eaten, shared, or processed.
Aesthetics are a consequence of ecological health, not the objective.

Seasons define the experience

There is no identical experience year-round.
No imports to conceal scarcity.

What exists, exists.
What does not, does not.

Labor is visible and fair

Agricultural work is not hidden.

Those who work the land are fairly paid, recognized, and structurally involved.

Education is inherent

Every form of Farmspitality transmits knowledge:

  • about soil

  • about food

  • about limits

Unimposed, but unavoidable.

No extraction, no exhaustion

The system must leave the land, the community, and the farmer better than it found them.
